[Hawks has the decency to put away a few straggling groceries, pop a bottle of rum into the fridge, and fluff his couch pillows before his company arrives. The rest of the cleaning is left for Natsuo - simple upkeep stuff.
It's not that dirty, just a little bit... dark.
Some of those light bulbs will need replaced.
His apartment isn't too big, the only impressive feature the massive span of glass that makes up his back wall. It's an amazing view of the city skyline, the idyllic sort of thing they always show in the movies. Some would say watching the night set in is better than TV, but tonight there's not much to see.
It's overcast, golden horizon a smoggy yellow of city lights reflected against the clouds.
Hawks sets the TV on a low volume, a soccer game with teams he only vaguely recognizes. Scene set, he makes himself a part of it, cracking open a beer and settling onto his couch.]
[He really wouldn't have cared if Hawks didn't do that preliminary tidying, but as it is... yeah, he'll barely notice at all, and will definitely chalk it up to the level of tidy Hawks usually keeps his place at.
And as much as the scene might be set, the middle Todoroki still 1) does not have a key, therefore will 2) absolutely ruin it by knocking. He's not precisely on time, but he's not more than ten minutes late, either, and whether that's out of some salt for Hawks' fanboy nature or simply because the takeout took a little longer than anticipated to be ready will never be known.
It's kind of a lackluster night, though, and he's actually glad to have something to do - with no maid dress required.]
[Don't worry - Hawks thought about this. His door is unlocked, a ballsy move from the number two hero. If a villain is going to come after him, he assumes it'll be through those huge window panes, rather than the front door.
He leans his head back over the couch cushions, beer hovering in hand over his lap.] Come in!
[Hawks can't smell the chicken - not yet - but his stomach groans nonetheless. The thought of food is enough to leave him hungry. And it isn't the half-can of beer that's left his cheeks just slight tint of pink.
[Cocky number 2 hero or no, it's still pretty dumb to leave your door unlocked, Hawks.
Anyway, with the greeting called out and barely heard through the door, Natsuo does slip in and lock it, taking a glance around the dark apartment before going to deposit the bag of food on the coffee table.
If Hawks wasn't going to get up to let him in, he wasn't going to get up to eat, either.]
